Offline Asset — Terms of Use
Acceptance
By downloading or using Offline Asset (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Translated versions may be provided for convenience; where permitted, the English version prevails in case of inconsistency.
Description of the service
The App is a local, offline-first personal bookkeeping and portfolio tracking tool. It does not provide wealth management, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or personalized financial advice. All totals and currency conversions depend solely on your inputs and manual exchange rates you supply.
Local storage and your responsibilities
Ledger data you enter is processed and stored on your device. We do not receive, host, or access your financial records on our servers. You are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your master password and device access confidential.
- Keeping secure copies of backups (“.pgbak”) and any exported PDF or CSV files you create.
- Verifying imports after restoring from a backup.
Loss of your password or device may result in permanent loss of access to encrypted data. We cannot recover your data for you.
Imports and exports
When you import backups or export reports, you choose destinations through your device (files app, cloud folders, email, messaging, and so on). Treat exported and imported files as sensitive. Delete obsolete copies and avoid leaving sensitive exports in shared folders or chat histories.
No professional advice
The App is not a substitute for qualified professionals. You remain responsible for compliance with laws applicable to you and for the accuracy of information you record.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and licensors of the App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Availability
Availability of the App follows the app store listing from which you obtained it. While the App remains available for download there, you may use that copy for personal purposes subject to the store’s rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless prohibited by applicable law.
